It is the Standardised Average House Price (seasonally adjusted) from Halifax, rather than the index value.

A little dangerous yet no? There are enough fools who are listening to the estate agents and those with a vested interest. Probably enough for a bounce yet before the major decline.

Shame that Mike Ashley did not short HBOS instead of going long. It was reported yesterday that he has lost 200 million quid since October on his 'silly' bet. HBOS were at 880p instead of 275p today.
