I did a quick Google to get my facts straight before answering but got sidetracked, as one often does, by this hilarious blog

Religious nutjobs get buggered by auto-replace.

But the American Family Association’s OneNewsNow website takes the phenomenon one step further with its AP articles. The far-right fundamentalist group replaces the word “gay” in the articles with the word “homosexual.” I’m not entirely sure why, but it seems to make the AFA happy. The group is, after all, pretty far out there.

The problem, of course, is that “gay” does not always mean what the AFA wants it to mean. My friend Kyle reported this morning that sprinter Tyson Gay won the 100 meters at the U.S. Olympic track and field trials over the weekend. The AFA ran the story, but only after the auto-correct had “fixed” the article.

That means — you guessed it — the track star was renamed “Tyson Homosexual.” The headline on the piece read, “Homosexual eases into 100 final at Olympic trials.”

Liquid petrol gives of a vapour which burns. Petrol does not explode. (I'm not sure if petrol even burns.)

Petrol vapour (a fuel) and air mixed will combust explosively.

In an enclosed space, the heating of the rapidly burning gases will expand explosively.

Dropping a lit match into a nearly empty petrol can will make it explode.

However, spilled petrol runs along the ground giving off vapour as it does so. That is what makes petrol so dangerous: it's ability to run into storm drains and ditches and cracks in foundations long before it is burned away.

    Mum watching coronation street oblivious....

We are talking a whole gallon container spreading out a large area.

I explained the water from hosing down the dog peeing on the outside table....

Got a comment about the patio being black in an area later on.

Removed the charred remains of cannister, so, I think I have got away with it!!, but, more relieved to be unmarked and for the house to still be standing....

Phew, nearly lost the house - mad to think about it!!! Maddest of all is that mum has nooo idea, thankfully!!
