I've never seen F1 live, except on TV. Is it worth all the hassle getting there?

My opinion is no it's not.

It's viciously expensive and with the way F1 is you really don't see much. Poor value apart from the atmosphere is my summary.
I've been to quite a few Touring Car and various manufacturer series race meetings and they're a load more entertaining than F1 when at the circuit.

Bikes are great fun at the circuits too and for obvious reasons getting away from the place afterwards is relatively easy.

Rockingham have no money. The CART races (two) were superb. Most other was a lot less good. I haven't been for ages. It's a damned shame they couldn't organise a PU in a pub.

I concur. I generally sit at the old hairpin but I was stood at Redgate when JT fell off!!!

Silverstone is as much of a nightmare. I like Brands Hatch but it's almost too wee.

Donington will be a traffic nightmare. Expect the M1 to be one big jam in both directions as people queue to get in.

It's a great circuit, just not for F1 cars. They're going to have to extend it, so that might improve things.
