My opinion is no it's not.

It's viciously expensive and with the way F1 is you really don't see much. Poor value apart from the atmosphere is my summary.
I've been to quite a few Touring Car and various manufacturer series race meetings and they're a load more entertaining than F1 when at the circuit.

Bikes are great fun at the circuits too and for obvious reasons getting away from the place afterwards is relatively easy.

I'm sure the track will be great for F1 cars with the layer of aviation fuel that's normally present

Rockingham have no money. The CART races (two) were superb. Most other was a lot less good. I haven't been for ages. It's a damned shame they couldn't organise a PU in a pub.

I concur. I generally sit at the old hairpin but I was stood at Redgate when JT fell off!!!

I love Donnington for bike racing. It will need mods for F1 and that will probably bugger it up for everything else.
Donnington is a bitch to get in and out of.

Silverstone is as much of a nightmare. I like Brands Hatch but it's almost too wee.

Wiki appears to be kept a tad more up-to-date than the Encyclopaedia Britannica:

On 4 July 2008 [wot is today], Bernie Ecclestone announced that Donington Park will hold the British Grand Prix from 2010 onwards in a 10-year deal.[4] The track will, in turn, also need a major upgrade to get it up to the standards required for modern day Formula One racing.

    Not from here it's not.

Donington will be a traffic nightmare. Expect the M1 to be one big jam in both directions as people queue to get in.

Possibility of MotoGP going to Silverstone though. Good for me as it's closer.

I wish all the 250,000 F1 fans well getting out of Donington on those country lanes...

It's a great circuit, just not for F1 cars. They're going to have to extend it, so that might improve things.

Practice from Silverstone right now live on itv-f1.com if anybody is interested.
