"Idiot's Guide to Socialism" didn't have the answers? Bit like when you raise awkward points with Chico, he throws his toys out of the pram.
Dunce.

It is laughable that you criticise my "ability to have a reasoned discussion without it getting personal". I refer you to any thread on which you have appeared.
PS No reason to sign off your posts as "thicko". We know you are.Last edited by sasguru; 9 August 2005, 15:56.

No?
How about envy?
All those non working types you have generated are nwo looking at what a miserable place England is to be unemployed.
Look how good that Barbadian has it sitting on the beach drinking rum.
They want some of that which will ruin the good places.
He has a new suit, why dont I? Why has his house got a better view than mine and so on....
Come on where is your argument?

[QUOTE=Jabberwocky]But you sound like a petulant child - please sir, please sir, give me the 10 reasons or else I am right sir. Go on sir, 10 reasons sir, no 20, give me twenty and I will believe you sir.
1. Greed
2. Envy
3. Lust
4. War
5. Welfare
6. Achievement
7. Fulfillment
8. Justice
9. Truth
10. Honor
So, the reason Socialism works is 'Lust' ??????? Great list of words but they do not really support your philosophy do they? Incidentally, if you can't be bothered to debate an issue then don't do me any fabvours.

Let me explain. This is a bulletin board, a place for the online exchange of ideas and opinions.
The idea is that you propose an idea and support it with your evidence as arguments, those who disagree either show the error in your arguments or propose thier evidence in opposition, its called a discussion.
Show me how socialism defeats greed!
Let me give you a fighting chance.
I say greed is a human condition, the only way you can satisfy it is by giving everyone all that they desire. Some comodities are in far too short a supply to provide everyone with all they desire so said comodities have value. Some people will be willing to trade for those items or work for them.
However your socialist policy says that those items must be distributed evenly again. This redistrbution will teach the workers that thier work ethic is pointless as the state will provide what is needed and will remove any excess.
Once you have removed the work ethic from the people who were willing to work, then no one will do anything and your society will collapse.
