Rommel, you are in Germany at the moment and in no position to direct the battle. Serves you right for nipping home when the weather was raining a little.

Oh, and tell your mates not to put the bomb behind the table leg.

EO - were you on that "commanders" (or whatever) program that Hammond was host of?

The counter attack goes on. No reports from any of the other forward defences, THAT is where the allied air power is concentrating.

There is now sufficient foothold on 4 of the 5 landing grounds to secure heavier landings and provide re-inforcements.

It is also daylight, the RAF / USAF have domination of the skies over Normandy, any armour that moves during daylight will be subjected to heavy and prolonged straffing and rocket attacks from fighter bombers whilst any attempt by the Luftwaffe to intervene will be dealt with by the covering fighter escorts. This will restrict the Luftwaffe to just 8 operational sorties during the day.

Your armoured forces will be dealt with before they can get anywhere near the landing grounds.

I will be Rommel, in charge of the German reserve and the Caen area. I will crush the Sword beache head on day 1.
    my first moves

1 - request panzer reserves are released by the Fuhrer
    2 - move 21st panzer towards Caen
    3 - request 12ss move towards Caen
4 - everone else - hold untill relieved

I need someone to command the 316 at Omaha (the centre)
I need a resolute fellow to defend the Cherbourg peninsula against the filthy Americans

    who will be the Allies
