    Not exactly, but I one worked with a permie who never seemed to do anything productive and spent all day staring at his screen with a glazed look on his face.

    One day he came to work and was really quite animated and lively. As the day progressed his behaviour became more and more agressive, and it culminated with him threatening to shoot a poor young chap on the helpdesk and being escorted out of the building by security.

    Turns out he was suffering from schizophrenia and had stopped taking his medication. Never saw him again after that. Shame, he was a nice chap before this incident.

    This happen to you?

    This Dilbert is almost what happened to someone that was attending a meeting I was at about 18 months ago. Strange chap was smiling all through was a very dull migration/integration planning session. Towards the end he said something like “Ah, this all makes such perfect sense to me now.” He was never seen in the office again. He had some sort of break down over the weekend that put him in hospital.
