    I have a little turbo-diesel for the commute. It's dull and rattly but does 55mpg and costs £30 a year to tax...

    I am considering getting a bigger motor ( 2.5 or 3.0 L ) but someone suggested I should be getting smaller one instead due to expectation of fuel pricing reaching 1.5 quid and up...
