I might be tempted to pay a little extra for the equivalent HP model, though I would prefer it to have SSD disk like the EEE rather than a 120G hard disk.

    Asus EEE 900

I had a chance to buy this for $750 (£280) in Changi airport yesterday. In the end I decided not to because it goes against the grain to buy without researching properly first. Now that I've discovered that it's much more expensive in the UK, and that the resolution is 1024x600 and not 800x400 as labelled in the shop, I'm almost definitely going to buy one when I'm back there in six weeks time.
