Crikey, some of those tropical frogs are deadly! I think the green ones are normally OK, but there's an orange species that it's usually fatal just to touch.
(Same goes for certain south American caterpillers - Dozens of loggers were mysteriously dying, and it was some while before a new species of caterpiller was identified as the culprit.)

In NuLieBor Britian that would have read.
"Woman charged with kidnap of tree frog. Given £80 on the spot fine".

Tree frog found alive in packet of spinach
April 15, 2008 - 11:07AM
A green tree frog narrowly avoided becoming lunch to an unsuspecting shopper after finding its way into a packet of spinach.
The woman was unpacking her groceries when she spotted the Eastern Dwarf Tree Frog and quickly freed it from its plastic prison.
Now appropriately named Popeye, the frog was rushed to Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary's community hospital and was found to be in perfect health.
Veterinarian nurse Mimi Dona said the frog was very close to becoming part of a meal when he was found.
Despite being healthy, she said his immediate future was unclear.
"We would love to release him however due to the possible threat of disease and that we are unsure of his origin, he will stay with us until his future is decided," Ms Dona said.
