I am finding the current job market to be very slow. During the last 3-4 years, I was able to move from one job to the next within a few days of finishing a contract. I am a CCIE R&S (lab) and CCIE voice (written) but I have been out for over six weeks and counting! Hopefully, things will improve when the budget for the next financial year is made available to managers.

I agree with HRH.
I'm also a CCIE. I get lots of calls for permies with Cisco Partners but not many contract gigs.
Most of the contracts are with the banking sector.

I'm a CCIE. Based in London so not exactly the same market (More financial here, which is hardest hit), but from what I see there aren't as many jobs out there and rates are flat or dropping slightly.
He'd get work in London no worries.
Permie I've no idea.

No problem - Its not for me, but a mate looking at moving back to the UK. Just trying to get a general feel for the market rather than a search on jobswerve or the like which isn't always the best guide.Originally posted by Jog On View PostJust trying to help you answer your question
