I haven't been to Glastonbury for over 10 years but I do go to 'V' in Staff's and the Isle of Wight festival. After camping throughout my ‘yoof’ I find staying in a nearby hotel and getting a bus in is the best option these days, there’s nothing better than arriving on Sunday freshly showered with a full English inside and beer tokens in hand, we did try camping again a couple of years back but hated being kept awake all night only to be confronted with a 2 hour queue for a shower in the morning, some friends of ours had £400 and all their 'gear' stolen in the night, it just wasn't fun anymore.

Sounds a bit like The Big Chill.Originally posted by Moscow Mule View PostIsn't that called the greenfields or something similar?

Isn't that called the greenfields or something similar?Originally posted by Marina View PostSounds great, apart from the blaring music. Can't they have a festival where everyone sort of mills around in a muddy field, puffing spliffs and swigging boose and hugging each other, without all the expense and disruption of the bands?

lots of Beer/several Boxes of Wine
underwear with extra pairs of socks (wet feet is so depressing)
firelighters

To no one there
And no one heard at all
Not even the chair
I am, I cried
I am, said I
And I am lost, and I can't even say why
Leavin' me lonely still
