I haven't been to Glastonbury for over 10 years but I do go to 'V' in Staff's and the Isle of Wight festival. After camping throughout my ‘yoof’ I find staying in a nearby hotel and getting a bus in is the best option these days, there’s nothing better than arriving on Sunday freshly showered with a full English inside and beer tokens in hand, we did try camping again a couple of years back but hated being kept awake all night only to be confronted with a 2 hour queue for a shower in the morning, some friends of ours had £400 and all their 'gear' stolen in the night, it just wasn't fun anymore.

Am sure you can find a quiet area when there to partake in above mentioned activities.
