    I think you missed the point (surely not!).

    Cyberman's post said that Blair promised not to raise taxes, and was therefore a liar. My post was that Blair promised not to raise income tax, which he stuck to.

    For who? You can only vote for politicians. If enough people stay on their arses and not vote, then the message might get through that we need better politicians.

    FWIW, I've seen Hilary on Letterman a couple of times before the campaign, and was very impressed with her. I thought she was a genuinely intelligent politician with some substance, who would do good things if she gets to be president. Unfortunately I don't think we're seeing the best of her in the campaign; she's having to play politics. If Obama wins (which I suspect he will), we'll realise that he's not good at anything other than the campaign, and we'll have another "W".
