This is where I stopped reading. You have to be dubious of any grown man who chooses to cycle to work. In my experience they fall into the following categories.
1) They are the god awful ‘save the planet’ types, who drink fair trade coffee and eat lentil based dishes at lunch.
2) Fitness freaks, who head to Ben Nevis on Friday evenings and bore me ridged with tales of their 'adventure’ come Monday
3) Smug types who wear Lycra and ‘trendy’ glasses.
4) Beady men who drink mild and have a penchant for young girls.
Discuss.
5) (myself included) It's acually quicker to cycle to work than it is to get the train or drive, cheaper and free exercise.
Look, I do pay Road Tax. Yes, it's because I have a car: but never mind, I've paid at least as much for the road as you have. Not that I think I've actually bought the road anyway: neither have you.
Actually you haven't paid for what you speak of taking, not have you won it by force of morals or argument; you just claim it by right of violence. Well, that may work, but you have revealed what sort of person you are - a violent criminal, in spirit at least.
Do you know me??????? you don't realise just how close you are with those coments
The reply was meant to be light hearted of course. Did you not read my second line??? I also have a push bike and my father has several and was a Scottish/British Champ way back in the day before sponsorship (hence the reason I'm working ) he's now over 72 and still does about 500 miles a month.
Where did I say that? I just find cyclists to be among the most repugnant groups in our society. The also like to flick 'the V's' or call you a twat if you dare get in their way.
Funny that, I feel the same way about some 26 year-olds.
You have to be dubious of any man who's not like you. Right?
