Yea vets are worse than lawyers, when my cat got attacked it cost me £3500 over 12 months to get him right and I wasn't covered by insurance as he was too old

Just to let you know that Brewster, the rectumly challenged cat, is comfortable and well, just back from convalescence at the cat surgery.
I have inspected her bum-hole and can confirm that the swelling has gone down and that there is nothing major dangling out of it.
