What's this got to do with a house price crash?

They are not auctioning a liveable-in house, all they are selling is some builder's rubble (albeit in a form that can be made into a liveable-in house).

Wouldn't it be funny if you bought the house for £1, and then squatted there for the next ten years?

Well, funny for everyone except the landowners.

House price crash. £1 reserve price

A HOUSE is to be auctioned at a knock down price. The two-bedroom property could be going, going, gone - for £1!

A single pound coin could be enough for a prospective purchaser to buy the house and sheds in Cliff Road, Waldringfield, near Woodbridge.
