please don't swear
I got on the "new" Liebour mailing list - great entertainment from the Orwellian propaganda machine. I spent most of my time adding the emails to SpamCop and other blacklisting servers.
Just my small part in the war against socialism... nasty people...

Maybe you emailed a Labour MP at some time? Or could it be they've managed to get hold of email lists from some civil service department such as the Inland Revenue.
(I'm really getting rather fed up with every post of mine being marked "not worth listening to", true though it may be! )

Tony Blair keeps spamming me. Shared for the spiritual well-being of the esteemed CUK members....
Last month, we promised to keep you up-to-date about the outcome of Britain's Olympic bid and the G8 summit that took place last week. But both events, which in normal circumstances would have given us plenty of reasons to celebrate, were over-shadowed by the terrorist attacks on our capital.
I made a statement to the Commons yesterday expressing the nation's revulsion at the murderous carnage and our deep sympathy to the victims and their families. We are determined to bring all those responsible to justice and to ensure our values and way of life remain undiminished. I also thanked our emergency services for the magnificent way they responded and paid tribute to the spirit and strength of millions of people living and working in London which has, rightly, won admiration from across the world.
Anyone who heard the response of MPs of all parties would have been left in no doubt about the resolve and unity of our country. They would also know that this national determination is shared by the overwhelming majority of Britain's Muslim community. Together, our modern, diverse and tolerant country will ensure the terrorists fail in their attempts to destroy the way of life we all share and value.
The spirit and diversity of London and the United Kingdom was, of course, a major factor in winning the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic games. The bid captured the imagination of the British public and I would like to thank you for taking part and showing your support.
We can also be proud of the achievements of the G8 summit: The $50bn uplift in aid, the signal for a new deal on trade, the cancellation of the debts of the poorest nations, universal access to AIDS treatment, the commitment to a new peacekeeping force for Africa; the commitment in return by Africa's leaders to democracy, good governance and the rule of law will all help make our world a more just, stable and peaceful place. And that's vitally important to all of us whether we live here in the UK or in Africa.
Yours sincerely
