Imagine the same happening to all 10,000 or however many windmills after these have been installed at vast expense in the UK as the Government plans
(I can see that tiltable blades would make the thing more expensive, but couldn't it at least have been rotated sideways to the wind?)

My builder says one of the outbuildings will go over with the next hurricane. Guess it's time to get all the old machines shifted into it and take lots of photos for the insurance man.
Thanks for the tip-off.

The Missus has just headed off for the sorting office to fetch a parcel - I'm not expecting to see her ever again. I probably ought to just go back to bed.
Shame I missed the earthquake in the week.
It must all mean: THE END OF THE WORLD IS NIGH. It's the only logical conclusion.

Hurricane
So we've got a hurricane warning for this weekend which I normally take with a pinch of salt but went out on the balcony for the early morning fag and it kicked up a notch. Thunder, lightning, hail, very strong wind, etc. Had to fold up the easy chairs and the crane that seems to be working of its own accord over the road is a bit worrying. Already one footie game has been canceled, hope the pub isn't!!!Tags: None
