Mine is £1300 on a £150,000 detached three bedroom...and its going up another 4%. If the UK goes value-based then things will be fairer. Mind you my parents were paying $12,000 pa on their house which they sold for $350,000 in Canada (5 bedroom on a 1/4 acre backing on to a large pond).
Do these non-doms pay any council tax at all? And I thought business rates went to the central government and not the council?

The City of Westminster is renowned for being a proper Tory council keeping the tax low.
As mentioned above, they tax the crap out of all the businesses in the area though.

Westminster residential council tax is really low, because they get loads of tax off the businesses. If I was 100 yards further down the road in Camden mine would be double.
You don't want to live in Belgravia anyway. Dull as ditchwater.
