I was with consutlant technologies but then they moved me to their 'sister' company which has the same structure of payment. So you end up only really paying capital gains tax on the bulk of your earnings.
I'm having doubts as to the legality of this payment scheme. Can anyone with more knowledge/experience comment on whether this is a legal way to recieve payments?

saying rather than doing ???
is this kind of thing just a naughty way of paying so much tax and NI ?
whats the point of borrowing money to buy shares to sell shares and pay back a loan ???
are you not just "declaring" that you are doing all this...
when in fact, you are getting paid and taxed on minimum wage and removing a bulk of your invoiced amount by declaring that you are buying shares....

Looks very dodgy. You have to purchase shares in their company, what guarantee do you have that the shares will be worth anything and that you will get paid a divi? Have they even explained how the share income works?
An 81% take home is better than you would get from your own LTD Co if you were taking a token wage of £5000 and paying yourself the rest in divvies, this alone should be ringing alarm bells.
I don't believe a word of it myself.

Greetings All,
I did create a post asking if anyone had used them and didnt get much of a response. I contacted the company and said that if i earn
£350 per day on a 6month contract, how much can i hope to take per month?
( i told them i will have £160 expense)
They sent me a pdf breaking it down and came up with some great figures... i think
here is the breakdown in a jpeg

Looks like a load of old tosh to me. They say they will save you money and they are not an MSC yet have no details at all on their website. They say you are employed but don't explain how you are going to get the money out of them so I assume it comes out via PAYE. In which case they are a standard umbrella company. If that is the case why bother with an IR35 assessment as IR35 is irrelevant if you earn all your money through PAYE, you are paying the tax anyway.Originally posted by misterdee View Post
Steer well clear IMHO.

Spam - Shirley?
Scene: A cafe. One table is occupied by a group of Vikings wearing horned helmets. Whenever the word "spam" is repeated, they begin singing and/or chanting. A man and his wife enter. The man is played by Eric Idle, the wife is played by Graham Chapman (in drag), and the waitress is played by Terry Jones, also in drag.
Man: You sit here, dear.
Wife: All right.
Man: Morning!
Waitress: Morning!
Man: Well, what've you got?
Waitress: Well, there's egg and bacon; egg sausage and bacon; egg and spam; egg bacon and spam; egg bacon sausage and spam; spam bacon sausage and spam; spam egg spam spam bacon and spam; spam sausage spam spam bacon spam tomato and spam;
Vikings: Spam spam spam spam...
Waitress: ...spam spam spam egg and spam; spam spam spam spam spam spam baked beans spam spam spam...
Vikings: Spam! Lovely spam! Lovely spam!
Waitress: ...or Lobster Thermidor a Crevette with a mornay sauce served in a Provencale manner with shallots and aubergines garnished with truffle pate, brandy and with a fried egg on top and spam.
Wife: Have you got anything without spam?
Waitress: Well, there's spam egg sausage and spam, that's not got much spam in it.
Wife: I don't want ANY spam!
Man: Why can't she have egg bacon spam and sausage?
Wife: THAT'S got spam in it!
Man: Hasn't got as much spam in it as spam egg sausage and spam, has it?
Vikings: Spam spam spam spam... (Crescendo through next few lines...)
Wife: Could you do the egg bacon spam and sausage without the spam then?
Waitress: Urgghh!
Wife: What do you mean 'Urgghh'? I don't like spam!
Vikings: Lovely spam! Wonderful spam!
Waitress: Shut up!
Vikings: Lovely spam! Wonderful spam!
Waitress: Shut up! (Vikings stop) Bloody Vikings! You can't have egg bacon spam and sausage without the spam.
Wife: I don't like spam!
Man: Sshh, dear, don't cause a fuss. I'll have your spam. I love it. I'm having spam spam spam spam spam spam spam beaked beans spam spam spam and spam!
Vikings: Spam spam spam spam. Lovely spam! Wonderful spam!
Waitress: Shut up!! Baked beans are off.
Man: Well could I have her spam instead of the baked beans then?
Waitress: You mean spam spam spam spam spam spam... (but it is too late and the Vikings drown her words)
Vikings: Spam spam spam spam. Lovely spam! Wonderful spam! Spam spa-a-a-a-a-am spam spa-a-a-a-a-am spam. Lovely spam! Lovely spam! Lovely spam! Lovely spam! Lovely spam! Spam spam spam spam!
