Paisley Jr resigns from executive

Ian Paisley Jr has stepped down as a junior minister
The DUP's Ian Paisley Jnr has resigned from his position as a junior minister in the Northern Ireland Assembly.
Mr Paisley tendered his resignation to his father, Ian Paisley Snr, the first minister a short time ago.

"I can't express strongly enough that I am not going because of some hidden or some revealed wrongdoing," he said. (Naturellement - Ed)

Mr Paisley, who will stay in the post until a replacement is found, said he would contiue in his role as an assembly member for North Antrim.

What a body blow for the long term chances of stability. Er Squadron Leader, I take it all of those pigs are refuelled and ready for take-off?

Anyway, one door closes and another opens..........assuming Sarah Beeny is ever looking for a new contact in NI!
