A few of my friends do and did ride bikes. (All accidents unrelated to riding a bike.)

I do have an irrational dislike of people who work in the media who do any governments bidding without have a proper look at the press release they are given.

    True, probably a statistics thing.

I wouldn't be surprised if they included off-road bikes in the calc. Plenty of untaxed crossers, trials and quads out there.

Nothing against bikers at all, i always keep an eye out for them and (when its safe) pull to one side to let them past

YES it is a manipulation of figures. A lot of these so called bikers are just chavs riding a bike they have nicked. Others are these kids and mini bikes that should never be on the road.

My bike is SORNed over winter too.

    Get a grip people.

Nope they just trying to raise awareness of motocycle tax dodgers so when they use the new law to clamp down on motorcyclists Middle England will think the government have been hard on crime.

They did this a few years back before they started clamping down on uninsured motorists.

But at least they give us their organs when they go.
These days there is an ever growing shortage of organs - quite rightly too. bikers are generally alot more careful.

Mind you I saw the aftermath of one bike accident - severe dent in petrol tank from hips. If it was a man then that would smart alot.

In which case you will have completed a SORN. Won't you? Or are you another one of these tax dodging scum?

by law you must declare the bike as SORN if you're planning to keep it off the road and un taxed
