The MK2 has a softer less focused ride (did you see what I did there) but the interior feels more up market IMHO.

If you get a proper car then the cruise control works in conjunction with a radar and maintains a suitable gap between yourself and the car infront

I've driven a focus a few times and generally speaking not a bad little motor, also Clarkson drives one around day to day and seems to be happy with it. Considering the things he has got to play with that's a endorsement all by itself IMHO.

Face-lifted Focus is out in March, stealers will be trying hard to push existing stock over the next month. Doesn't mean it isn't a good deal but factor in when considering if it is a bargain. Check autotrader for year-old ones, to give you some idea of initial depreciation.

My wife has a Focus C-Max and to be honest I can't fault it, the only problem I have found with Ford is the customer service at the dealer could have been a bit better. I am used to dealing with Honda who are leagues ahead in that department.

Found a CRACKER of a deal - Focus 1.8 diesel, alloys, aircon, cruise control, Style Plus. All for £11.5K. Normally £16K from a stealer. Brand new, del miles, car supermarket job.

My car is worth around £6K to £6.5K.

Given the daily round trip of 120 miles, I am wondeirng if changing my choice of stead to this finee looking filly will make all the difference? I especially like the look of the cruise con, and have heard only good things about the new Focus.

Tried a new Astra, not impressed.

At a smidge over £11K, why get a used one??

    Panel thoughts?
You're a permie now, you can't afford it.

The new model Mondeo looks good, however, best stick to the cheaper focus if you're still thinking about going permie

Yet another new model of Focus? This one has only been out a couple of years!

There is a new Fiesta model out around now, so, maybe the ideal time to sell before this plummets overnight with the new launch!
