My previous experiance of WIPRO is teams of 40 people where you have 1 guy who knows how to do the job and is bloody brilliant. 1-2 guys who have a good handle on thier specialist area but know **** all about anything else and 37-38 guys who are there to make up the numbers and know **** all about anything.
You will occasionally see them doing thier certifications, you will now when this is happening because all 40 will be crammed rouns one machien doing the exam in question, as a result they will all be highly skilled on paper.
They will promise you the moon on a stick and never deliver and they will argue with any defects you find if the defect wasn't found by rigidly following a positive path test script.
get used to the following phrases:
"Yes we can do that, it will be in the next version"
"Yes we can do that it will be ready next week"
"That is how it is supposed to work"
"Would you like a copy of my CV/do you know anybody who would like a copy of my CV, I'm looking for a job in the UK"
The last one is because they come over here, find out how much a software dev would earn in this country, convert it back to rupee's and realise they are earning a pittance for what they do.
Finally they always have a better way of doing something, this is because in thier culture it is better to promise the moon on a stick and not deliver than be truthful. If they admit they can't do something they lose face/respect/honour and that is everything to them. If they have said they can do it they can always drag it out until they have managed to do it.
