Just recently got a Samsung network printer, all in one. Fast and works a charm. Can't speak on its reliabilty as I've only had it six months.

Recently got a Lexmark WiFi Scanner and Printer in one (no fax) after swearing by Epson for years but getting stuffed after the last one only lasted 14 months.

So far The printing is excellent, with the Wifi a doddle to set up. The only complaint is that wifi scanning is tempremental, the printer sometimes won't connect to the computer.

But I did only pay £70 for it.

Lexmark or Kyocera, not necessarily the cheapest but they are manufacturers that specialise in printers and seem to be the ones most commonly found in offices.

I bought a £250 (can't remember the model number) all in one HP a couple of months ago.

The first one I got refused to complete the initialization process, and kept asking me to clear a non-existant paper jam.

It's replacement faired slightly better, but when I printed anything it just gave up half way through each page. So you would get out half a photo, or half a letter.

So I returned it for a refund and have been using the 930C, purchased in 1999, which I was trying to replace.

So in a nutshell avoid HP at all costs.

The old man bought a similar Canon device and has had no issues. Only thing is the Canon ones don't seem to come with wireless ethernet capability which was what drew me to the HP initially.

Not really bothered about an answerphone, just print, fax and scan, and that the bloody thing works. I paid about £160 for the HP one, and have found lots of people with the same problem on HP's own forums. I've used it less than 10 times since I bought it and it's about to be thrown in a skip.

I have a HP 9120 that is still going strong and is 3 years old now. Not had any problems with it at all (Apart from the 64bit vista drivers not giving me a low quality print option, but hardly a hardware fault)

Do you want an answerphone built in?
