oh dear - all that applies to meOriginally posted by Denny View PostI'm too old for a paper round too young for a pension.
What that translates to is that I'm no spring chicken anymore.
But I am still a very long way off from wearing a pine overcoat.
I wasn't a sixties wild child, but I do remember when Heath was prime minister.
I also remember 10 shilling coins, 1 pound notes and threepenny bits.
But I don't remember farthings though, or gramaphones. But I do remember playing vinyl disks on a record player and audio cassettes.
I can't text message very fast, and my immediate association with a Blackberry, when someone asked me if I knew what they were, is that it is a little fruit that looks like a black raspberry and makes excellent jam.
So that's how old I am.

Why? - why not be happy that this 'young' lucrative career has the potential to keep you going to close to retirementOriginally posted by rootsnall View PostI'm sat with a 59 year old and a 60 year old contractor. God hopes I'll have hung up my keyboard long before that age. Makes me feel quite sprightly !

Hear this Robert ZimmermanOriginally posted by oracleslave View PostAt least the R Zimmerman bit was correct
I wrote this song for you
'Bout a strange young man named Dylan
with a voice like sand and glue ...
...scratched this world to pieces as he comes on like a friend
...but a couple of songs from his old scrap book could send him home again

I'll be over 45 in March. My PM at the last gig (a contractor) was 56.
