Compare this to the cheap insurance company I was insured with when I was younger who lost at court when somebody drove into the back of me and cost me my no claims.....

I could prolly shave £50-£100 off my premium if I really wanted to, but it's just not worth it. Instead I know that if somebody drives into me i'll win, chances of me having to go to court to win are very very slim and I get to drive a brand new A4 (or equivalent) around for a couple of weeks while they fix my car.

    Result
Same thing happened to my wife - hit at the back (standard case where you expect to win) - faced Norwich Union (whose solicitors' didn't play ball) and ended up losing her NCB.

My wife (a community midwife) has a 'company' car and she can add any family member to the insurance for nowt!

My 17 year old daughter passed her test a few weeks ago. When she started learning we rang up the insurance company and she was added, no charge

Don't know how this works but a friend (another mfdwife) added her daughter to her insurance and had numerous bumps and still didn't have to pay.

Tesco seems to be the cheapest on the market. But their Accidental Damage excess is :

    250 GBP Compulsory

Plus 200 GBP Excess equal total of 450 GBP total excess for accidental damage . Is this average or ?

"I'm neither Churchill nor sasguru nor AtW" is marginally more grammatically correct than "I'm not Churchill or sasguru or AtW"

The optimum, however, would be "I am not Churchill, sasguru or AtW"

Unless of course you are actually sasguru and me at the same time, also Spartacus
    I believe either is fine.

    And if we're getting picky

"Unless of course you are actually sasguru and me at the same time"

    This should either be

"Unless of course you are actually sasguru and I at the same time"

    or

"Unless of course you are actually me and sasguru at the same time"
