After due consideration of messages on the Contractor UK website, a valued organ specialising in sensible and authoritative public opinion, the BBC censor has relented and will no longer blank out the word faggot in that song by The Pogues and Kirsty MacColl.


The Director General of the BBC said: "Faggots will just have to put up with it. Whites don't object to Bing Crosby's Christmas song, and Sir Alex Ferguson seems quite happy about Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. We can't have one rule for them and another for faggots.
