Gordon Ramsay's pub The Narrow in Wapping for British (dunno why!) food out East. Or The Gun on The Isle Of Dogs.

Yeah, 24 is good, and go up to Vertigo for some champers after. Good views.Originally posted by Lucifer Box View PostBut instead I shall say it is truly an excellent restaurant. Some of the finest British cooking going, but at a price. I can highly recommend the mutton.

I like Smithfields Bar and Grill specialises in meat mmm steak etc its right next to the Smithfields meat market so always loads of choice, lot more class than a Beafeater prices arent too bad either menu > http://www.london-eating.co.uk/menu/25046.asp , its got a bar at the front as well. Nearest tube is Farringdon, its also near loads of other bars and clubs, Fabric is just a couple of minutes away.

Which is why I ignored Gino Ginelli's post.Originally posted by sasguru View PostDont laugh at that. 10 years ago it was true, but now London is a match for both Paris and Rome. And if you don't think so, it's cos you're not dynamic enough.
Thanks for the recommendations - I'll look into them.
Oh, atw, keep up the good work of adding nothing of any merit to any threads.

Do you think being born in a country makes you automatically of that country? The 7/7 bombers (to my immense sadness) didn't think so. What matters is that you have the values of the country, no?Originally posted by AtW View PostAnd you call other people foreigners?
Hypocrisy worthy of Gordon Brown and Tony Blair combined!

Well he didn't say a good restaurant in London (where there are many, totally agreed on that). He said "good british food", which is hard to find even in a city like London.Originally posted by sasguru View PostDont laugh at that. 10 years ago it was true, but now London is a match for both Paris and Rome.
