The Office for National Statistics (ONS) said sales slid 0.1% in October, compared with a 0.3% rise in September.

The numbers are likely to reinforce the calls for the Bank of England to cut interest rates and help stoke demand.

Back to cheap mortgages and debt then. An infinite credit bubble! Boomed forever!
