    Microsoft bought 150,000 non-voting shares of Apple stock in 2003 as a token gesture. They own a very nominal share of common stock now.

    I actually thought that Microsoft did own a part of Apple. When Apple were going through a difficult period a few years back, MS came in with a load of wonga and now own it partially...
