Blimey, I didn't realise Redknapp was playing for Liverpool that long ago!

Line up for the game :

Hooper, Marsh, Bjornebye, Jones (Hutchison 61), Piechnik, Wright, Stewart, Redknapp, Rush, Barnes, Walters.

Looking at defense it doesn't come as a surprise that we got tonked.....

I only went to a couple of Coventry City football matches during their time in the Premiership, each time it was to see Liverpool play.
Coventry was Liverpool's jinx team as they very rarely beat them when Coventry played at home. At Anfield it was a very different matter of course!

I thought I had a good memory for football, but I don't recall Liverpool losing 5-1 since Ajax in the sixties!

I remember taking a friend to his first football match and thought he would see a festival of football and a good few goals by Liverpool. It started well with a goal by the young and injury free Redknapp, but what followed was a drubbing.... 5-1 we lost and I never took him again !!!

I was lucky enough to be interested in football during their pre-eminence and I would say that I was a supporter in as much as they are the only team I have been even remotely interested in supporting.
I was happy to see my home side of Coventry win the F.A.Cup but I haven't ever considered them to be a "good" side.
Strangely enough they always seemed to beat Liverpool at Highfield road.

I thought Celtic won the League and Cup Double every year? Except when it is the Hun's turn of course...

The only Celtic year I remember is the Septuple...

Apparently. Although he probably walked in for his own protection as much as anything else.
