    Holidays

Exactly right, it only affects those who don't have the Bank Hols paid as part of their package.

Basically some people used to have to use thier 20 days to cover bank holidays so they got 12 + 8. They now get 16 + 8.

Bank holidays can be included, it's up to your employer if they do that.

Unless your holiday year started today, I wouldn't expect to get an extra 4 days in it this year

    Statutory Holiday Entitlement

This increases to 24 days p.a. today. In my new job I get 20 days, so can I claim another 4 days, or do they include bank holidays in the overall total? So effectively I currently get 28 days - 20 days + 8 bank holidays.
