I can’t find one worse than Tiscali nor one better than Idnet.
Thanks Gingerjedi. How come you had to threaten them if you'd already been with them for a year and a half?

Did you use your Tiscali speedtouch modem with Idnet service? Or did Tiscali insist on having it back!?

Thanks! I am sick to death, etc. with Virgin, so I will give IDNet a go.

[EDIT] Have been on the blower to Virgin for yonks, to get my MAC Code... why am I surprised that the response time for leaving them is infinitely longer than the time I waited for a reply when I wanted to join them?

I think anywhere near Essex has this problem

started a topic Tiscali 1M Broadband

    Tiscali 1M Broadband

Has anybody else in the Guildford area noticed a degradation in service over the last couple of months?

If I try to use the internet during what might be considered busy hours my service is worse than dial-up. However at, say, 6am all is speedy.

The prat on the Tiscali helpline told me that it must be at my end because he "sees" a good service being supplied to my address!!! How could this be if it's only at certain times of the day?

Seems to me that they added too many subscriptions and the available bandwidth has reduced no? Time to move to a new provider?

Working...
