Might I respectfully recommend that you check out "ProjectInABox"... The community version is free and is a good precursor for Prince 2 training.Originally posted by smee.againFoundation is an attendance course...Practitioner is slightly tougher...
The Prince 2 course will teach you the principles and how to pass the exam. There is still no substitute for experience.

Three steps to being a successful PM:-
1) Practise inserting the following words/phrases into random sentences - solution, blue sky, big picture, customer oriented, quick win, stakeholder
2) Learn to mangle an Excel spreadsheet by typing numbers directly over the formulae
3) Learn to blame others when it all goes t!ts up

Agreed.Originally posted by Old GregThe Practitioner is tough enough but if you've worked inside a project before you should get through. The thing to rmember is that this won't make you a project manager, but if you have project management experience it is useful and does give you an edge if you're going for PM jobs.
I have gotten interviews/work partly because I have 'Registered PRINCE2 Practitioner' on my CV. Start the contract and the client doesn't use PRINCE2 - they just want to hire someone who knows about managing projects and they think PRINCE2 means that. It doesn't.

You could always try spending ten years as Chancellor, not sure how successful this "training" has been, though.Originally posted by DieScumThink I might be able to swing some PM training. What are the good things to do - Prince?
