    I saw a documentary last year about a theory that Glen Miller's plane had strayed into a 'keep clear' zone above the channel. It was a designated area for returning Allied planes to discard unused bombs. Apparently Miller's plane was in the area around the time that a huge squadron were returning with undropped ordinance...
