Doctor Who" and its spinoff "Torchwood" are probably the most popular Welsh-based series currently on television. With both shows currently in production in Cardiff and "Torchwood" featuring regular location shoots of the city showing several of the city, Cardiff has been getting quite a bit of positive press and has even seen an influx of Whovians looking to catch a glimpse of the show's production.
But it’s not enough, at least according to a BBC watchdog group. Following its first review of Welsh programming, the Audience Council for Wales said that the "Doctor Who" powerhouse currently being manned by Russell T. Davies is only the beginning and that the BBC should do a lot more.

At least Harold Saxon had a nice bit of totty for a wife rather than a Dalek outside it's shell thingy (can't remember what they are called).
