Maybe, but as an architect could you live with that on your conscience? Myself I couldn't. I like to think I do the best job that I can as well as make the best recommendations that I can. It's part of being a professional IMO.

Who cares if it's tulip, as long a blue chips are lapping it up and paying top dollar for skills to implement, extend and support it.

IMHO BizTalk is tulip, but there's plenty out there using it and paying good money for those that can design and implement it.

So the question is, is this technology/product going anywhere and is it niche enough to make a very good living at it?

Well its Microsoft stuff, so it has the might of the MS Marketing Engine behind it, I have had a few calls from pimps about it.

You are right though its Access on steroids, and the load balancing is sh*t. Where I put it in we replaced 1 AIX box with 30 Windows boxes for this application.

Contract for tech you think is sh*t

Got put forward for a contract to Architect a solution for a company, but the technology they have chosen I have worked with before and believe its a pile of poo (it's Microsoft Axapta).

Anyone have any thoughts on this? I will probably accept if I get offered it proper as at the end of the day its a day rate. But wondering if people have been in similar situation before.
