My God, the old ones are the best. We used to do the same with mainframe green screens: write a CLIST that pretends to be the TSO login but starts berating him for being an idiot when he tries to log in.

Snappier and nastier was on CMS: update his PROFILE with the command LOGOFF.

We used to do the same. On TSO and CMS, write an exec which displayed the logon screen and run it, trap their password and then logoff and then use their password and userid for nefarious doings....

I still have a copy of the original XMAS TREE trojan horse which ran on VM back in the early 80's and caused what was then the Internet to seize up.
