That's right big guy, laugh it up - I'm middle aged compared to half the young whipper-snappers on this board.

I've been on Linked in since just before being made redundant from my last permi job.
I've found it a useful way to keep up with professional contacts.
Been contacted about a couple of gigs (didn't come to anything though).
I've also found it useful for helping my clients find potential candidates for roles they have.

I've built up a good network of people at my last 3 clients on LinkedIn, and had some useful introductions as well as the opportunity to go for a couple of gigs. A useful way of informally staying in touch IMHO.

I'd regard it as a grown-up facebook too.

Looks quite interesting - a professional social networking site. Could be useful for getting industry contacts.

I've had a few agents contact me through Linked In, but not got any work from it.

I use it more to keep in touch with people I work with and let them know where I'm working - it's also easier to find me on there and contact via email than if I change my mobile number.

There is now a PCG group on Linked In that you can join as well.

I went on two years ago. Never use it. Forgot my logon details.

I'm slightly wary of using this kind of thing rather than real-life contact. It reminds me of people who claim to be scratch golfers - on their wei games console!

I think it's quite useful, but only put on information you're prepared to release. A few agents have contacted me through it, but nothing has come out of it yet.
