    A party in power can change it's leader, or the Prime Minister (these two things are not necessarily the same by the way) whenever it wishes in a term of office.

    That is the British electoral system. There's no point winging on about it.

    I hope Brown delights us with his new radical thinking, and passionate commitment politics, but I fear he will just be a 24 carat **** based on his previous showing.

    Anyway. We are stuck with him until the next GE - them's the rules.
