why not try to get a contract abroad so you can have a bit of both?
I worked in Spain for three years - ok you work during the week but then go off and do stuff at the weekends - or take lots of holidays.
I only came back to England to buy a house and build up my skill set / experience to make it easier to move abroad again later.
Plus there are people of all ages travelling or dossing around. I'm 32 now and I reckon I'll be off again in a year or so..
