I used this series about 10 years ago http://www.amazon.co.uk/Understand-S.../dp/1873668740 neat, tidy and good for beginners.

Then the ft.com "mastering series" is particularly good when you find the area you wish to delve deeper into - I swear by Cormac Butlers "Mastering Value at Risk" .

Good books for investment banking gig?

18 months in investment banking and still no clues on investments.

It shows that i am just a codemonkey

Can anyone recommend good books to buy that gives good insight into investments/stocks/...options...hedge funds .... under standing trends and lots of jargons !

I might as well use that to fool people with the lingo and try and do some investments of my own (property market is tulipe at the moment)

anyone know what good investments are out there at the moment.
