I went permie and within 4 months have the job titles of :

Senior Developer
Technical Architect
Technical Development Manager
Senior Alchoholic

Still, I get to interview some contratractors next week - one of which is a Dutchie who has claimed to have implemented Team Foundation Server on a 6 month project that ended 3 months before it was released... oh the fun we shall have...

Yes thanks, but engineer doesn't come into my job title.

My profile says Technical Consultant. I do a bit of development, a bit of telling people how to do stuff and having brilliant ideas.
