Depends how big a skip you need. This'll give you an idea.

Mind you, the bonfire idea is cheaper, and more fun. Tell the family it's a barbeque, wrap some spuds in foil and chuck 'em on.

I've found a can of petrol to be significantly cheaper than a skip when it comes to combustible material

Also it releases nutrients back into the ground to help your plants grow!!
