The issues aren't confused - the war drums will beat the same tune for Iran that they did for Iraq. Scare mongering that if we don't kill them first they will kill us, despite the fact that they are too far away to do us any harm. They will also try to show them as monsters to dehumanize them, it's so much easier to stomach war if we are able to forget those are people too.

The war drums for Iran have been beating for several months now and are getting louder as the days go by.

While I support peoples' rights to demonstrate against war - and do anything that would embarrass Gordo or taint his taking of office - I'd have nothing to do with the stopwar.org.uk brigade, they're too closely linked with the Socialist Workers' Party, the Communist Party and other subversive elements, who use these events as recruitment fairs, and jump on any bandwagon to further their profile. Opposed to the pointless and counter productive war on Iraq, but the possibility of Iran obtaining a credible nuclear deterrent does not bear thinking about.

What makes you think that Iran doesn't already have a few Nukes stashed away. they have been trading arms with Russia and the other former Eastern block countries for years!
How many of Russia's ex satelite countries sold off the Nukes from the silo's on their soil to fund their new governments. what you have to worry about is the west selling them an efficient long range delivery system.

Attacking Iran will be an 11th-hour attempt by the US to reassert its superpower status in a world where this is challenged by nations such as China.
