Previously on "British MPs secrecy bill is without sponsor"
When Blair came to power, there was wide agreement from MPs about a "Freedom of Information Act". This came to pass a couple of years ago.
However, earlier this year MPs got together to pass a bill exempting themselves from the act!!!
Thankfully, this bill has how been stopped... by the Lords. What has Britain come to when the House of Lords acts in the peoples' interest, and the House of Commons acts in its own (very squalid and selfish) interest.
