HP laptops are utter tulipe. This piece of crap I'm working on now won't boot with the battery plugged in. One other in the project team has failed completely (motherboard fried), another exhibits the same symptoms as mine.
I am seriously considering getting the IT gents to create a clone of my hard drive on a firewire disk so I can use it with Parallels on my Macbook
It's easier than that - use Parallels Transporter - and you can just clone your PC and have it running in Parallels in minutes
I agree. I have XP installed in a dual boot on my MacBook Pro...just so I can play CNC3 and it works great.
I do all real work on the MAC OS X tho...I know it is not gonna crash...;-)
I'll 2nd that. My vaio has already crashed more times than I care to remember, another update, are you sure you want to quit? etc etc that mac on the other hand, never a problem as I can recall,,,

Got an Alienware myself that does everything I want it to (oh nooo i must be a geek..)
Rockdirect are also good, but Rockdirect and Alienware aren't exactly the cheapest around, however you get what you pay for (and I love my 14.4" lappy screen that can do a native resolution of 1900 * 1200 )
