You can buy a T-Shirt there with "There are no Kangaroos in Austria" written on it, but I am sure they have some at the zoo.Originally posted by XTCOff to Austria this weekend. What is there to see other than Kangaroos?
We did this discusion a while ago try a search.
Vienna is full of tourists so all its attractions have become tacky beyond belief.
Cathedral in central square.
Opera house. (whilst opera on).
Spanish riding school (try to get to one of the full performances rather than a training session or short show).
Vienna boys quire.
Hundertwasser museum.
Bungi of the milenium tower.
Boat trip down the Danube (boring but a box ticked).
Buy a lonely planet guide.

I installed a system there at a company called Anker, which made me giggle, and to a rather nice brewery on the south side of the city. Not very easy to find though. Didn't see much of the city while I was there but I saw a lot of their computer room as they left me locked in for hours while they all buggered off to meetings
