I've just finished Rogue Moon again, following the thread on here a few weeks ago.

It wasn't quite how I remembered it from when I read it as a kid, but close enough. I think there is also an important flaw in the plot.

Otherwise, I've been reading literature on new bathroom suites.

I used to work on half ton mechanical computers about 30 years ago. They were used to predict aircraft positions for 40 mm antiaircraft guns

full of oil and cogs they were, but they worked

IIRC they had three ratings for each machine, two small/short ones and a tall/long armed one. The two short guys were maintenance and the tall long armed guy was the operator.
